The ACPA National Award for Excellence in Concrete Pavement in the Reliever & General Aviation Airports category was presented to McCarthy Improvement Company in Recognition of Outstanding Design and Construction for Davenport Runway 3/21 Reconstruction in Davenport, IA at ACPA's 2016 annual meeting in Austin, TX.

The ACPA National Award for Excellence in Concrete Pavement in the Commercial & Military Airports category was presented to McCarthy in Recognition of Outstanding Design and Construction for the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Runway 8L/26R Pavement Replacement, Atlanta, GA  at ACPA's 2015 annual meeting in Bonita Springs, FL.

2015 ACPA GOLD AWARD

The ACPA National Award for Excellence in Concrete Pavement in the Concrete Pavement Restoration (CPR) - Airport category was presented to McCarthy in Recognition of Outstanding Design and Construction for Runway 9-27 Pavement Rehabilitation, Greenwood County Airport in Greenwood, SC at ACPA's 2015 annual meeting in Bonita Springs, FL.

2015 ROSE AWARD

The Associated General Contractors of Iowa presented the Iowa Safety Excellence Award (First Place in the Structures Division) January 13, 2016 at the AGC of Iowa's Annual Convention.  This is the highest corporate award that the chapter presents.

2015 ICPA AWARD

The Iowa Concrete Paving Association present the Award of Excellence to McCarthy in recognition of outstanding design and construction on Runway 3/21 Reconstruction in Davenport, IA.  It was Iowa's "Best" Reliever/General Aviation Airport PCC Paving Project for 2015.

2015 SAFETY ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

This award was presented to McCarthy by the Associated General Contractors of Illinois in recognition of 200,000 to 349,999 hours of outstanding safety performance during the 2015 construction season.

2014 ACPA GOLD AWARD

The ACPA National Award for Excellence in Concrete Pavement in the Industrial Paving Category was presented to McCarthy in Recognition of Outstanding Design and Construction for the 3ID Tank Trail & Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facility project in Ft. Benning, GA at ACPA's annual meeting on Dec. 5, 2014 in Scottsdale, AZ.

The ACPA National Award for Excellence in Concrete Pavement in the Commercial Service & Military Airports category was presented to McCarthy in Recognition of Outstanding Design and Construction for the P454 Beaufort MCAS Hangar Apron Addition project in Beaufort, SC at ACPA's annual meeting on Dec. 5, 2014 in Scottsdale, AZ.

2014 ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION CONTRACTOR OF THE YEAR

This award was presented in recognition of continuously reinforced PCC pavement and jointed PCC pavement along I-57/70 in Effingham, IL on Dec.9, 2014.

2014 ACI AWARD

Florida First Coast Chapter of the American Concrete Institute designated Blount Island Command Pavement Flat Lots P-012, P-017, P-017 P-024, a U.S. Navy project, to be a significant concrete structure at its 2014 Awards Banquet on Nov. 20, 2014.

The Georgia Chapter, American Concrete Institute awarded McCarthy First Place in the Paving Category for the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Runway 8L/26R Pavement Replacement project.

2013 ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION'S CONTRACTOR OF THE YEAR AWARD IN THE PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE PAVING CATEGORY (See below)

This award was in recognition of continuously reinforced PCC pavement along I-57/70 south of Effingham and was awarded at the Associated General Contractor's annual convention luncheon on December 10, 2013.  See link for details.

2013 ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION'S CONTRACTOR OF THE YEAR AWARD IN THE OUTSTANDING SUBCONTRACTOR OF THE YEAR CATEGORY.

The nomination was in recognition of constructing a bike trail bridge along I-57/70 in the city of Effingham.  The award was presented at the Associated General Contractor's annual convention luncheon on December 10, 2013.  See link for details.

2013 ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION'S CONTRACTOR OF THE YEAR AWARD IN THE WORK ZONE TRAFFIC CONTROL CATEGORY. 

The nomination was in recognition of traffic control during pavement and interchange reconstruction on I-57/70 in Effingham.  The award was presented at the Associated General Contractor's annual convention luncheon on December 10, 2013.  See link for details.

The American Concrete Paving Association Gold Award in recognition of outstanding design and construction in the  service and military airports category was awarded for the Atlanta Hartsfield Center Airfield Connectors project in Atlanta, GA.  See link for details.

2013 ACPA GOLD AWARD

The American Concrete Paving Association in recognition of outstanding design and construction in the industrial and special paving category was awarded for Goose Creek Naval Weapons Station Rail Road Tracks in Charleston, SC.

2012 ASPHALT PAVING ASSOCIATION OF IOWA SMOOTHNESS-IN-CONSTRUCTION AWARD

This award, recognizing excellence in Hot Mix Asphalt Pavements, was presented to McCarthy Improvement in recognition as Finalist of the 2012 Smoothness Award (Municipal Street Paving), Project:  DAV11007, Harrison Street & River Drive, City of Davenport.

2012 BEST PARKING LOT

Congrats to Nate Loss & Adam Rutledge for their Certificates of Merit which were presented on Feb. 7, 2013 at the ICPA 49th Annual Concrete Paving Workshop.  They were presented in recognition of outstanding design and construction on the project which has been rated the best Parking Lot PCC Paving Project completed in the state of Iowa 2012 - Von Maur-Ecommerce Fulfillment Center Expansion, Davenport.

Was presented Feb. 7, 2013 in recognition of outstanding design and construction on the project which has been rated the best Parking Lot PCC Paving Project completed in the state of Iowa 2012 - Von Maur-Ecommerce Fulfillment Center Expansion, Davenport.

2012 ACPA SILVER AWARD

The American Concrete Paving Association Silver Award, Divided Highways (Urban) division, for the I-65 Reconstruction Project from Interstate 459 to U.S Route 31, Hoover, Alabama was awarded in November 2012 at the ACPA annual meeting. 

2012 ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION CONTRACTOR OF THE YEAR 

In recognition of interchange reconstruction at I-57/70 and Fayette Avenue in Effingham, IL, the award was  presented on Dec. 11, 2012.  See Link for full details.

2012 - SPECIAL PAVING APPLICATION AWARD

This award was presented by Missman Engineering for St. Ambrose University Porous Parking Lot in Davenport, IA for utilizing "green" paving applications.

2011 ACPA SILVER AWARD

The American Concrete Paving Association Silver Award, Divided Highways (Rural) division, for the I-385 Rehabilitation project  in Laurens,  South Carolina was awarded in December at the APCA annual meeting.

2011 - SAFETY ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Presented to McCarthy by The Associated General Contractors of Illinois in recognition of outstanding safety performance during the 2011 construction season.

2011 CONTRACTOR OF THE YEAR AWARDS - Work Zone Traffic Control

McCarthy Improvement received a Certificate of Merit from the Illinois Department of Transportation in recognition of traffic control provided during resurfacing on IL 92 from 38th Street in Rock Island to 48th Street in Moline, Illinois.  See Link for full details.

AMERICA'S TRANSPORTATION AWARDS

The I-385 Rehabilitation project in Laurens, SC received winner status in the "Under Budget, Medium Project" category.  See Link for full details.

Received the number five spot in Roads & Bridges "2011 Top 10 Roads" for the I-385 Rehabilitation project in Laurens, SC.  See Link

2010 ACPA SILVER AWARD

Received the American Concrete Paving Association Silver Award, Divided Highways (Urban) division, for Palmetto Parkway, I-520/I-20 Aiken, South Carolina.
