McCarthy Improvement announced today that Ryan Birney is taking on new responsibilities as an industrial segment manager. In his expanded role, Birney will lead the company’s growing industrial division, focused on quality project delivery and custom solutions to meet the increasing needs of manufacturing and distribution facilities.

“Ryan is a well-rounded leader with a deep understanding of construction, estimating, site logistics, safety and scheduling,” said Scott Hutter, McCarthy Improvement President. “Not only has Ryan worked on some of McCarthy Improvement’s largest roadway projects, but he’s also assisted in developing our commercial division and estimating department. He will be a tremendous asset as we continue to expand our portfolio in the industrial market.”

“McCarthy Improvement has been delivering quality services to our industrial clients for many years, and I am excited to be able to take our capabilities and experience for them to the next level,” said Ryan Birney, Industrial Segment Manager. “I am fortunate to work with a team that embraces our safety culture which allows us to become the preferred contractor for our clients. We are all committed to providing our clients with McCarthy Improvement’s core values of Safety, Quality, Efficiency and Reliability.”

Birney joined McCarthy Improvement in 2008 and his diverse experience spans overseeing complex, multi-phase roadway projects across the Midwest to managing local projects from estimation to completion.
